Not-so-distant getaways have become our new norm. Embracing the opportunity to explore closer to home, we head to Northern NSW with the vibrant Eloise where she shares a bit on packing, style and creating your most versatile travel wardrobe – no matter the destination.
WHAT PIECES ARE YOU NORMALLY DRAWN TO?
Well, my wardrobe is extremely colourful! I am always drawn to colour and prints in classic silhouettes – they make me feel happy!
HOW DO YOU CREATE A VERSATILE WARDROBE?
I love to invest in classic, high-quality staples and then mix and layer them with on-trend pieces.
WHEN TRAVELLING (LOCALLY AT THE MOMENT) HOW DO YOU PLAN OUTFITS?
I tend to always dress for the occasion or where I am heading, so everywhere I go my outfits have a different flair! I draw inspiration from the lifestyle, art and culture of the area I’m visiting. When I’m packing, I pack in outfits rather than pieces. I'm always prepared!
WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO DAY TO NIGHT LOOK?
Definitely the Raspberry Dress. It's so perfect for brunch with a chunky sandal. Just add a heel and you're good to go for dinner.
CLOTHES CHANGE HOW WE FEEL - DO YOU DRESS TO SUIT YOUR MOOD FOR THE DAY?
Yes, absolutely! It might sound cliché, but I do feel better and tend to have a great day when I like my outfit! I stick to colour because it peps me. The brighter my outfit, the brighter my mood.
GIVE US YOUR BEST TIP FOR PACKING WELL?
I traveled for seven months last year with 40+ plane trips. My packing skills dramatically improved! I pack different categories in separate dust bags to keep everything organised – same goes for my shoes. I also try and put the heaviest items in my carry on (not going over the weight limit of course).
IF THERE WERE NO TRAVEL CONSTRAINTS RIGHT NOW, WHERE WOULD YOU GO AND WHAT WOULD YOUR OUTFIT BE?
Italy! A little summer dress, like the Raspberry Dress, with a hat, big sunnies, gold jewellery and a basket filled with fruit from the local market.
ONE WARDROBE ITEM YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT?
Sunnies. They go everywhere with me!
