MARCS STORY


Mark Keighery first launched the MARCS label in 1979 with a line of great classic mens shirts. 

Using a vibrant mix of colour he combined quality fabrics and paid attention to the detail of fit and collar shapes. Mark soon developed a strong following and a name for great shirts. From there he grew the range to include all aspects of the mens wardrobe.  Combining the same principle of great coloured easy pieces in quality fabrics he quickly became known for good quality basics in tees, pants and knits. The women’s business followed shortly after and the MARCS brand was born. 

The Elvis shirt, Carrie shirt, Brando tee and Pammy tee were all introduced by Mark and backed by the philosophy of quality basics that fit easily into any wardrobe or occasion, taking influence from European style. Updated with the newest colours all of these styles are still available in stores today.  The clean modern uncomplicated style that the MARCS business was founded on continues to be the essence of the brand and MARCS remains fashion forward and trend aware, yet always accessible and relevant.  Driven by colour and quality it fits into a busy lifestyle and provides an easy and effortless answer to any occasion.
