Our Shanghai factory will operate a Fair Trade Policy for all its suppliers based on the following criteria.  Supporters are chosen on the basis of their ability to supply high quality products on time, at a competitive price.  Supporters are assessed annually against a Factory Evaluation Report (conducted by our QC Manager). They must score 65 points of better to be considered a satisfactory supplier.  The Factory Evaluation Report is compiled annually and reviewed with the supplier as to the areas for improvement going forward.  The Factory Evaluation Report will put a strong emphasis on employees’ working conditions in all departments of the Factory.  Suppliers must comply with the China labour laws for employing labour in the Apparel and Textile Industries. Suppliers comply with inspections from China Labour Department and undertake to correct any breaches as soon as possible.  We will immediately stop using factories which do not comply with the China labour laws or who score less than 65 points on the annual Factory Evaluation Report.

The factory is managed by a team of experienced professionals in the following areas:

  • Product Development (pattern making, pattern grading, marker making, sample manufacturing)
  • Merchandising (merchandiser for each designer, fabric merchandiser)
  • Production Control and Planning (production planning with suppliers, production control of WIP)
  • Warehouse of raw materials and finished garments
  • Administration (general management, accounts, employee welfare)
  • Quality assurance and control (10 in house QC inspectors)
